MySql 8 was released 6 years ago. It is not some bleeding edge innovation thrust upon us unexpectedly. Your hosting package is extraordinarily generous for so little cost....so I get why you don't want to change but change has happened. MySql 5.7 was EOL in October 2023, we can't stand still for ever.
